The Black Student Union (BSU) at California Polytechnic State University, intends to enhance the lives of black students and the student body as a whole. We will achieve this through education of the black conscience and the cultivation and promotion of black culture on campus.
NSBE's mission is "to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community."
The Black Faculty Staff Association (BFSA), aspire to creating a campus climate that is inviting, nurturing, and hospitable. We are dedicated to establishing a proactive environment that is supportive of the recruitment, retention, and affirmative action of Black faculty, staff, and students. We promote programs that lead to the better understanding and teaching of Black students.
This alumni affinity chapter has a vision of creating an alumni community, which seeks to be engaged with Black alumni, students, faculty and staff of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. The Cal Poly Black Alumni Chapter's bylaws were officially adopted January 25, 2014.
